Our coatings and optional skid plate available on our ALSK+ versions provide a smaller friction coefficient against engagement surfaces and allow the life of the carrier to be similar to that of steel carriers with less weight.

[BRDC] recommends the lightened buffer system to be used with the ALWC and ALSK+ Aluminum Bolt Carriers for optimum performance. The [BRDC] lightened buffer system is specifically designed to operate the ALWC and ALSK+ Carriers fast and reliably. The combination setup has been rigorously tested through the [BRDC] prototyping phase of production to ensure the end user the best reliability possible.
[BRDC] additionally suggest the use of an adjustable gas system to be able to accurately tune the impingement forces applied to the bolt carrier. Over gassing of your rifle system will cause wear of critical components faster and ultimately result in malfunctions and failures and possible catastrophic damage not covered by [BRDC]’s manufacture warranty.
